Erin O'Shea is a founding member and the Artistic Director of Awkward Pause Theatre. She also serves as Production Manager. Erin is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she met fellow alum and APT company member, Jennifer Betancourt. She has appeared in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (2011), Autobahn (2011), Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, and Little Shop of Horrors (2013) with Awkward Pause. In addition to her work with APT, Erin has performed with such theatres as Griffin, RedTwist, Evanston Light Opera Works, Night Blue, and The Hypocrites. In her free time, Erin enjoys obsessing over her dog, Cooper, ugly-dancing, and looking up random facts/quotations on the internet.
Jennifer is proud to serve as Awkward Pause's Managing Director. She also acts as resident director and an ensemble member. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2008, after which, she moved to Chicago and has worked with various companies in the Chicago theatre scene. She has appeared as an ensemble member in many of Awkward Pause's monthly cabarets, as well as in the original, brief, incarnation of Autobahn. As resident director, she has acted as assistant director for Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show (2012) and as director for Little Shop of Horrors (2013). In her spare time, she enjoys the finer things in life: Eating entire pints of ice cream in one sitting, baking "shame-cakes" (exactly what it sounds like, ladies), savoring a fine vintage from Charles Shaw, and watching Doctor Who.
